Ruach

Ruach (pronounced roo-akh) is the Hebrew word for spirit, breath, or wind. When spoken, the word engages one’s breath and lungs. The first mention of Ruach in the Bible is in the very first chapter of Genesis – Genesis 1:2 to be exact: And the earth was a formless and desolate emptiness, and darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit (Ruach) of God was hovering over the surface of the waters.

Spanning a variety of techniques both self taught and learned from the foremost instructors and innovators in the fine art of fused glass, this series of functional and decorative works are born out of my Jewish heritage and encompass a continuing spiritual curiosity, exploring the commonalities between all spiritual and religious traditions.
